Chapter – 81
“Phos Excited”
And on the day before the birthday party:
“I was told not to prepare anything for the birthday party, so… I haven’t done anything at all. We’re having it at our place, right?”
Ruri asked nervously.
“That’s fine. I rented a place,” came the reply.
“A place?”
Ruri cried out in surprise.
“A place? No, that’s too much. It’s just a kid’s birthday.”
“It’s not just any birthday.
It’s Phos-kun’s very first birthday party.
I rented a dog café. This is my celebration gift.
Everyone will bring food, so there’s no cost, and since it’s a dog café, Cyan can come too.
Our Rose and Shinju, and Mizuko-san’s Cape, will also be there.”
“That’s so grand… I feel bad asking everyone to do this.”
“Miyu is also looking forward to meeting Phos-kun, and my wife is excited to cook, so don’t worry about it,”
Midori said with a laugh.
“That’s right~ everyone wants to drink and have fun, and if you stop them, they’ll hold a grudge,”
Midori added with a smile.
The next day,
Phos dressed in his favorite outfit,
getting ready to go out,
when Godai came along.
“I’m coming too today,”
she said with a smile, climbing into the car with Phos and Cyan.
Ruri chuckled wryly, surprised that President Taichi had invited everyone.
They drove to a location close to the parking lot Ruri had rented,
turning into a back street, where the café awaited.
A sign read: “Reserved for today”.
When Ruri opened the door,
crackers went off,
and confetti rained down.
Surprised, Phos was met with:
“Happy Birthday~”
Everyone cheered, and seeing Phos’s bewildered face,
Ruri said,
“Today is your birthday, so everyone came to celebrate.”
“Birthday?”
Phos looked up at Ruri.
“Yes. Phos Day, the day you were born.”
“My day?”
“Yes. We have to say thank you to everyone.”
Ruri said, guiding Phos into the café,
where balloons floated, and Midori placed a party hat on him.
“Happy Birthday!”
“Phos~ this way!”
Hearing Yukito call,
“Yukito-kun!”
Phos ran over happily.
Cyan was initially surprised,
but happily approached Shinju when she saw her.
“Such a grand birthday party. Thank you so much.”
Ruri looked around the café, decorated for Phos, amazed.
“I had fun remembering Tomokazu’s birthday party while helping with this one,”
Yuko said with a smile,
“Yuriko-chan and Misaki-chan are used to birthday parties since they’re still active.”
Ruri glanced at Yuriko and Yukito’s mother, Misaki.
“Phos is so lucky. Everyone is celebrating him like this. Thank you so much.”
Watching Phos’s excited antics, Ruri felt truly happy.
From afar, Miyu said,
“Phos-kun is so cute, I’ll make him my husband.”
“Husband?”
“Yes.”
The adults laughed at this conversation between her and Phos.
