Chapter – 20….
“Damn it. What the hell, my ears are ringing.”
Zed, who had stepped away for a moment, returned just in time and put a full stop to Liriope’s thoughts.
“I’m dying from being busy because of you guys, and yet here you all are, bored out of your minds?”
He pressed the children with a menacing glare, his face still showing deep irritation.
“Ah, it’s not like that… I was just cleaning the new ones as I was told.”
Zed’s gaze followed that excuse, landing on Liriope and Calliona.
At that moment, his eyes flashed with a dark gleam.
“Oh? What’s this? No, this is beyond my imagination.”
Zed stepped closer, uncomfortably close, lifting his face right in front of the sisters.
“Huh, you’ve been hiding a face like this until now? I was wondering if only ugly ones come in because the water at the Northern Mage Tower is bad.”
The blatant insult slightly changed the children’s expressions, but no one dared to argue.
His slick gray eyes scanned both of them from head to toe, lingering especially on the unconscious Calliona.
“Good. Very good. I’ll have to take special care of you.”
A gaze so revolting it would make even insects crawling over him feel better.
‘Kill him.’
It took less than a second to make that decision.
‘I really have to kill him immediately.’
Her violet eyes, sharp and cold, pierced through a red fruit crushed under someone’s foot on the floor, then slowly disappeared as her eyelids closed.
That night, Liriope quietly organized her plans alone in the darkness.
