Chapter 5
That Damn Female… She Actually Dared to Secretly Carry His Child!
At this moment, in the tallest ancient dragon fortress of the K Empire’s royal city—
“Congratulations, Grand Imperial Preceptor, your flood dragon horn is glowing!”
Seated high above in the grand hall, Huang Ziye slowly swayed his pitch-black dragon tail. The hard scales scraped against the smooth floor, producing a deep, grating sound.
Hearing this, he suddenly opened his dark red eyes. A bloodthirsty chill spread layer by layer as he used his spiritual sense to feel the pheromones coming from his dragon horn.
This was…?
His offspring?
Below, his clansmen spoke excitedly:
“Grand Imperial Preceptor, this is the signal of offspring being born. Our flood dragon clan has a new hatchling!”
“That’s wonderful! It’s been two hundred years since our clan last welcomed new life. Preceptor, when did you take a female? Who is she?”
“Which noble female could bear such a powerful flood dragon cub?”
“Yes, how come none of us knew?”
The flood dragon bloodline was extremely special. Ordinary females could not conceive their offspring. Only those with an SS-level fertility constitution could do so.
But females with SS-level fertility were exceedingly rare across the entire Beast World.
That was why the flood dragon bloodline was so precious and thin.
Moreover, the Grand Imperial Preceptor had never taken a mate. As for that previous arranged marriage with the ugly female, they had tried everything to break it off, only succeeding after she disgraced herself and was exiled.
They had all hoped that after the engagement was dissolved, the Preceptor would quickly find a female and continue the pure bloodline.
Yet he showed no urgency. Every time his mating cycle came, he would rather confine himself in Beast Transformation City and endure it alone than take a mate.
Huang Ziye himself was also shocked.
Feeling the pheromones from his horn, a strange sensation rose within him.
He really had a child?
His sharp brows furrowed slightly. The scales along his body tightened as his thick dragon tail transformed into a pair of long, powerful legs. He stepped down from the throne.
His cascading long hair made his already stunning face appear even more noble, his tall frame radiating an untouchable, mysterious aura.
“Grand Imperial Preceptor, who is it?”
“Should we go bring your noble female back together?”
“That’s right! At a time like this, you should be taking care of the cub and letting your female rest!”
Huang Ziye thought for a moment.
When had he ever been with a female? How could he not know?
Now he suddenly had a child.
He could track the cub through its pheromones… but this female—he had never had one.
Just as he was deeply puzzled, a memory suddenly flashed through his mind.
A few months ago, in Beast Transformation City, during one of his mating cycles… it had been the only time in years he completely lost control.
When he woke up, the confinement chamber had been in ruins.
Vaguely, he remembered a soft, fragrant body entering his embrace, pressed beneath him.
He froze.
Could it have been that time?
With that thought, he reached a conclusion.
That damn female… she actually dared to secretly carry his child.
No matter what, he would find his offspring first.
His eyes narrowed.
“I’m going out.”
The clansmen were stunned.
“Where are you going, Grand Imperial Preceptor?”
“To bring back your female?”
A dangerous, wicked smile curled at his lips.
“I’m going to punish her properly.”
With that, he stepped out of the hall.
Behind him came the anxious cries of his people:
“You mustn’t, Grand Imperial Preceptor! What male punishes his own female? Especially one with such a precious SS-level fertility—absolutely not!”
Back in the cave—
After a full meal, Shen Yue and Si Muye had grown somewhat familiar.
She spoke first:
“I’ll treat your leg first thing tomorrow morning.”
After the meal, Si Muye found himself strangely curious about her. His gaze tightened, voice low and uncertain.
“You… can really heal my leg?”
To be honest, over the past ten years, he had long lost hope.
He had once searched far and wide for the legendary SSS-level healer. But even finding an S-level healer in the K Empire was rare. Back then, after traveling great distances, he found one—only to be told it was incurable unless he found an SSS-level healer.
Shen Yue replied, “I keep my word. But first, I need a good night’s sleep.”
Then she added:
“Can I stay in your cave tonight?”
Si Muye paused, slightly surprised.
Was this ugly female homeless? Or without protection, and afraid?
He didn’t ask. He simply nodded.
But he had never shared a space with a female before.
Shen Yue relaxed after his agreement.
The original Shen Yue had no fixed shelter after being driven out of the savage city. Her old cave was small, damp, and empty.
At least this one had dry grass, separate space, and warmth. As expected of a bear, excellent at digging caves.
She just needed one good night’s rest. Once she regained strength and could open her spiritual spring, she would no longer worry about food or survival. She could even cure his leg and remove the toxins from this body, restoring her original appearance.
When she first arrived, she realized the original’s dark skin and pockmarks were not natural.
They were caused by toxin buildup in the body.
Likely long-term exposure to arsenic-like substances, leading to chronic poisoning and abnormal skin pigmentation.
After three days in this world, Shen Yue finally had a good night’s sleep.
Holding her seven eggs, she slept soundly. When she woke in the morning, Si Muye was nowhere to be seen.
Looking at the eggs beside her, she gently touched each one, greeting them good morning.
In the Beast World, eggs usually needed to be incubated by male mates. It could take as little as a week or as long as a month to hatch.
But Shen Yue had no mates.
She would have to act as both mother and father, using her own body warmth to incubate them.
So she decided that starting today, she would prepare for their hatching and at least create a warm, comfortable home.
Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and opened her spiritual spring with her mind.
Inside, it was vast, filled with rich spiritual energy and life.
She divided it into four sections.
One was for planting fruits and vegetables. Time here was set to be static. Anything placed inside remained fresh forever. Seeds would instantly grow, bloom, and bear fruit endlessly.
Looking at the abundant produce, she casually picked two cucumbers and some tomatoes. The moment she picked them, new ones grew in their place.
Another section was for aquatic life. Countless fish and seafood thrived there.
She took out two black fish weighing over four jin each, planning to give them to Si Muye when he returned.
