Chapter – 72
“The First Event”
Since becoming a witch, Ruri had spent her days thinking about many things.
Most gemstone dishes were rather plain in flavor—
not bad, but easy to get tired of.
For the fairies, these had probably been the most delicious sweets until they got to know the confections of this country.
But now, unfortunately, they had discovered the taste of this country’s junk food.
Since the fairies were immune to poison and illness,
Ruri had no concerns about letting them eat freely.
Still, this was putting a considerable strain on the household food budget.
If her side business went well, even after paying taxes,
she could live without worrying about food expenses.
She couldn’t dip into her savings either,
since she needed them for Phos in the future.
For the fairies’ sake and for the food budget,
she hoped they would devote themselves to making accessories.
And so, Ruri decided to think up some delicious gemstone dishes.
Watching Phos and the others happily enjoying their snacks,
Ruri laughed.

The next day,
Ruri and her companions went off to an event.
Since it was held at an indoor sports facility,
it was a fairly large-scale event.
“If I hadn’t met Ruri-san,
I probably would’ve never even known this event existed,”
Godai said, eyes wide as she looked at the huge venue.
Phos also gawked with his mouth open.
Ruri smiled at the two of them and said,
“First, let’s finish setting up our booth,
then we’ll go around to see everyone.
We can also take a quick look at the other creators’ booths.”
She led the two of them to their assigned spot.
While setting up,
another creator approached and spoke to them.
“Hello! Our booth is over there,
but we heard that Ms. Aokawa would be participating today,
so we’ve been looking forward to it.”
Two young women were looking at the accessories as they spoke.
“Thank you very much,”
Ruri said, having Godai help her arrange the accessories.
“Oh, these… they’re even cuter in person!
We saw them on social media and came to the event just for these.
Right?”
The woman smiled at her friend as they admired the pieces.
Watching this, Phos proudly lifted his head and said,
“I thought of these!”
“Eh?”
The two women looked at him in surprise.
“This child named them.
She said they looked like little beans,”
Ruri explained, and the women nodded.
“That’s amazing! You designed these accessories?”
They crouched down and smiled at him.
“Hehe,”
Phos grinned.
“This water-flow design is a new piece too, right?
It’s so beautiful…”
As the women admired it, other creators came by to greet them.
Thanks to company videos and workshops,
Ruri had gained a certain level of recognition.
While she was explaining her creations, the women said,
“Could we take a photo together later?”
