“Since you say you need a con artist, I suppose you have someone you want to swindle?”

“Yes, I do. It’s something extremely important—something with a ducal title on the line.”
“So what role would I play?”
“The wife.”
At the duke’s blunt reply, Su momentarily doubted her own ears. What on earth did he just say?
“I need a wife.”
