Episode 1 – Prologue: Tutorial
A bright light filled her vision.
There was a strong smell of gasoline.
The green light was still blinking on the crosswalk.
From a nearby car, the driver his voice groggy, still half-drunk shouted,
Driver: “Miss! Watch out!”
The car hit her.
Her phone slipped from her hand.
Her thoughts raced.
“No! I need to grab it! Today’s ranking match I haven’t turned on auto-hunting yet!”
She started panicking.
“How many chargers do I have? I’ll need at least two if I’m stuck in the hospital.”
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain.
Her ribs pierced through her skin.
But more than pain, she felt heat.
The world spun upside down.
No, it was her body that flipped.
Blood splattered across her old phone.
And then, everything faded into darkness.
???
Mysterious Voice: “You’re dead.”
She opened her eyes.
She was in a completely white space.
Her body no longer hurts.
She blinked a few times and looked down at her hands.
Her fingernails were clean no scratches.
She touched her chest.
No broken bones sticking out anymore.
Mysterious Voice: “Do you want to live again? In any form?”
“Am I dreaming?” she wondered.
She looked around and then asked:
Her: “Where’s my phone?”
Mysterious Voice (annoyed): “Seriously? You modern people are hopeless. Can’t do anything without a phone.”
She was sure now.
“Yep, it’s a dream.”
After all, the thing talking to her was a white rabbit.
Her: “Uh who are you?”
Rabbit: “I am Phobinus, the god of beauty!”
This is a dream, she thought.
A rabbit calling itself the god of beauty? Sure.
She decided to just go along with it.
Her (curious): “Hey, do rabbits eat their poop?”
Phobinus: “I am a god! My digestion is far beyond that of normal rabbits!”
So yes? Or no?
Before she could ask again, the rabbit quickly continued:
Phobinus (serious): “Anyway, no time to waste. I’ll be brief. I’m giving you a new chance.”
Her: “What kind of chance?”
Phobinus: “The chance to live a second life. But you must complete a mission I give you.”
Her: “No thanks.”
Even in a dream, she didn’t like how the rabbit was acting like a boss.
She casually raised her middle finger at him.
Phobinus (ignoring her): “I’ll give you two gifts. You’ll like them.
First an ability you’re already familiar with.
Second, I’ll send you a helper, using all my divine power.”
Her body suddenly started floating.
Her vision blurred.
All her senses faded away.
Ah, she thought, finally waking up from this weird dream..
But the rabbit sounded proud and emotional:
Phobinus: “Go forth, my apostle. The chosen one!”
She thought to herself, This is one weird dream.
And just before she blacked out, one last thought crossed her mind:
“So does the rabbit eat poop or not?”
When she opened her eyes again.
She had become a noble lady.
