Chapter 49
Love Consultation (Part 3)
Yusa Amatsu and I went to see our close friend, Kaminagi Seiya.
At that moment, our dear friend was in the home economics room, wearing an apron and sewing a gym uniform.
The school’s “Prince of the Stars” was… surprisingly domestic.
“So Seiya-senpai really is in the home economics club.”
“Doesn’t suit him at all, huh? But for Seiya, it’s a matter of survival.”
After all, being in the club meant he could cover food and clothing expenses through the school budget.
It was rare for a guy to join the home ec club, but Seiya carried himself there confidently. The other members were already used to it.
Though, thanks to Seiya, the number of female members had apparently skyrocketed.
“Never thought you’d fall for Kinori of all people.”
I had already filled Seiya in on the situation beforehand.
Now then, it was time to hear about Urahara-san’s “admiration” from his point of view.
“I can’t tell you everything—Kinori’s feelings are her own, after all.”
◇◇◇
“I see… I get it, sort of,”
Seiya said after explaining Urahara-san’s feelings of admiration.
I turned to see how Amatsu would take it.
“Even so, I still like Urahara-san.”
“I see. Then let me give you just one piece of advice.”
After receiving a single piece of advice from Seiya, Amatsu went home to prepare for tomorrow.
Yes—tomorrow, I had arranged for Amatsu to have another chance to confess to Urahara-san.
Tsukiyo had talked to her and helped set up a space for her to give him a proper answer.
It was a Saturday, but oh well…
Only Seiya and I remained afterward.
“Hey, Seiya, do you think it’ll go well?”
“That depends on Amatsu. Before worrying about dating or not dating, he has to see if he can free Kinori from her twisted emotions. More than that—are you going too?”
“Well, I’m already involved. Tsukiyo said she’d stay by Urahara-san’s side, and if it doesn’t work out, I’ll comfort him as a senior. What about you?”
“I’ve got work.”
“You never change…”
And then came the fateful Saturday.
Behind the school building, there was a small clearing hidden deep in the woods.
Even if you shouted, no one could hear you, and no one would come to interrupt.
Surprisingly few people knew about this place.
It wasn’t used for any club activities either, so no one was likely to show up.
There stood Amatsu, looking determined, his face set like a man ready for battle—
and beside him, Urahara-san, unable to hide the anxiety on her face.
I didn’t know what exactly Tsukiyo and Urahara-san had discussed beforehand,
but… all we could do now was watch.
Tsukiyo, standing beside Urahara-san, spoke first.
“Yusa-kun, before you confess again, Kinori has something she wants to say. Please listen.”
The gloomy expression that had hung on Urahara-san’s face until now lifted.
Maybe she had finally made up her mind.
“I’m sorry for running away before!”
She bowed deeply, then raised her head again.
“I honestly thought you meant Tsukiyo or Umi-chan, so I didn’t even listen and just ran off. I’m really sorry for that. But right now, I… I’m going out with someone—”
“Urahara-san.”
Amatsu cut her off mid-sentence.
Judging from her tone, that was probably the right call.
“I heard a little about you. And about Seiya-senpai too… So please, let me say this—not about dating or not dating, but about how I feel.”
Tsukiyo quietly came to stand next to me.
A confession, huh… Someday, I’d probably do one too.
I glanced at Tsukiyo’s face beside me.
If I were to confess to her someday… No, that’s ridiculous. Let’s not think about impossible things.
“Looks like this is as far as we can go.”
“Yeah. The rest is up to them.”
And so, Amatsu’s life-risking confession began.
