Synopsis (Age 15+ Revised Edition)
“Hey, if you date me, it’s honestly a damn good deal.”
“No. Once I pay off all my debt, then I’ll…”
“What—just drop dead?”
Nod, nod. I tilted my head in agreement with Gu Taehwi’s words.
He was right. Once I cleared off the suffocating pile of debt my father left behind, I intended to die—just like that.
And this time, peacefully.
If I died leaving debt behind, there was no telling who it would burden next.
My mom, my aunt, my uncle, my niece… Those thug bastards treated anyone with even a drop of shared blood as family.
I didn’t want to keep being a nuisance, even after I was gone.
As I frowned, lost in those serious thoughts, Gu Taehwi—pressed up close behind me—let out a scoff.
“I’ll drag you out of hell myself.”
“Why hell?”
“What, you thought sticking around with a thug like me would land you in heaven?”
It was absurd. But I couldn’t come up with anything to argue back.
For some reason, irritation bubbled up inside me. I dug my nails into the back of his hand and spoke.
“Just finish it already.”
“Nope, babe.”
