Chapter – 54

Something feels off.
There should have been a double drop, but the price keeps rising.
I’m making profits from my margin buys, but somehow it feels absurd.
Well, I guess I’ll just have to endure it, thinking of this year as a learning experience.
After all, the unrealized losses have been decreasing quite a bit.
The problem is that all of that is from my bear stocks, which is troubling. (laughs)

Not exactly a time to be laughing… though. (laughs)
From around this point, I begin to experience the true terror of bear stocks.

It’s 2024. I started using the new NISA system.

I had sworn that I would never touch stocks again.
Yes, I really did.

And yet—
More than ten years ago,

After the Lehman Shock,
I stepped back into the market once again.

Just with 1 million yen.
I told myself I would withdraw cleanly if I lost.

Just as I had declared,
I pulled out of the stock market after losing several hundred thousand yen.

It’s a bitter memory. (LOL)

Since then,
I steadily saved money,
and it eventually grew into a considerable amount.

Even though I should have known better, I started investing in stocks again.
I figured I’d probably leave around 5 million yen behind when I die anyway,
so why not invest and grow the money I plan to leave for my son?

With that simple thought, I began investing again.
Now, a year and a half later, how are things looking?
