In the end, the Nasdaq rebounded.
Global semiconductor stocks also unexpectedly rose by 3%.
Even though SOXL had been falling.

I had invested 2 million yen, so I made a profit of 60,000 yen.
With a new all-time high, that’s a total gain of 360,000 yen.

So far, everything is going smoothly.
I’d like things to stay this way.

Looking back, I guess it was just beginner’s luck. (laughs)
At the time, there was a global semiconductor boom—no matter what you did, you made a profit.

Completely unaware of the crash that was to come later,
I was writing all this with a smug look on my face. (laughs)

At Novelish Universe, we deeply respect the hard work of original authors and publishers.

Our platform exists to share stories with global readers, and we are open and ready to partner with rights holders to ensure creators are supported and fairly recognized.

All of our translations are done by professional translators at the request of our readers, and the majority of revenue goes directly to supporting these translators for their dedication and commitment to quality.

It’s 2024. I started using the new NISA system.

I had sworn that I would never touch stocks again.
Yes, I really did.

And yet—
More than ten years ago,

After the Lehman Shock,
I stepped back into the market once again.

Just with 1 million yen.
I told myself I would withdraw cleanly if I lost.

Just as I had declared,
I pulled out of the stock market after losing several hundred thousand yen.

It’s a bitter memory. (LOL)

Since then,
I steadily saved money,
and it eventually grew into a considerable amount.

Even though I should have known better, I started investing in stocks again.
I figured I’d probably leave around 5 million yen behind when I die anyway,
so why not invest and grow the money I plan to leave for my son?

With that simple thought, I began investing again.
Now, a year and a half later, how are things looking?
