I started keeping a diary some time after things had already begun.
There should have been some results by then, but I wonder how they turned out?
I’m reading this from the beginning now myself, so I’m feeling a bit nervous. (lol)

The whole world was focused on the U.S. CPI, but since the inflation data came out weaker than expected, stock prices rose.
As usual, Japanese stocks seemed to be left behind, but since I was buying mainly global semiconductor-related stocks, my profits increased.

CPI refers to the Consumer Price Index — it’s used to check the state of inflation, and if it’s high, the economy is expected to worsen and stock prices tend to fall.
At the time, I didn’t really understand any of this; I was just picking up bits and pieces from YouTube videos.
Since this is just a diary, I’m writing casually without trying to sound fancy — please forgive me for that. (lol)

It’s 2024. I started using the new NISA system.

I had sworn that I would never touch stocks again.
Yes, I really did.

And yet—
More than ten years ago,

After the Lehman Shock,
I stepped back into the market once again.

Just with 1 million yen.
I told myself I would withdraw cleanly if I lost.

Just as I had declared,
I pulled out of the stock market after losing several hundred thousand yen.

It’s a bitter memory. (LOL)

Since then,
I steadily saved money,
and it eventually grew into a considerable amount.

Even though I should have known better, I started investing in stocks again.
I figured I’d probably leave around 5 million yen behind when I die anyway,
so why not invest and grow the money I plan to leave for my son?

 

With that simple thought, I began investing again.
Now, a year and a half later, how are things looking?
