Synopsis
“It seems to me that you aren’t unhappy enough yet.”
Euribe became a puppet empress, offered like a tribute to an emperor who was older than her father.
Her already dire circumstances worsen to the extreme when the emperor brings in his mistress.
“If anyone harms my woman, I will repay it to the empress twice as much.”
The emperor, almost obsessively paranoid, sharpens his attention as if Euribe might harm his mistress.
“For the rest of your life, I’ll be on the throne longer than Your Majesty. So, who do you think you should please?”
When her father gets a lover, Euribe’s stepson starts flirting with her, the stepmother.
“Even petty power is still power. Seems like you don’t want to lose it.”
“I still don’t understand why His Majesty chose a woman like that as empress.”
Nobles mock and humiliate Euribe to curry favor with the emperor’s mistress.
But fate is not so cruel. A mysterious man appears and extends his hand to Euribe.
“I dare to offer my strength to Your Majesty, the Empress.”
Startled by the warm hand offered to her for the first time since becoming empress, Euribe is interrupted when the emperor’s mistress approaches, speaking strangely.
