On a sweltering summer day, when the blazing sun scorched the crown of his head, the life of seven-year-old Yeonwoo changed forever.
Led by his father, he visited for the first time his paternal grandfather’s home in Pyeongchang-dong—Hyunsajae. It was far more magnificent than he had ever imagined, and within it existed something he could never have anticipated.
Black scales, like thinly sliced shards of obsidian, meticulously layered together.
The moment his eyes met that enormous serpent, young Yeonwoo cried out without realizing it—
“Dra…gon…”
Never once imagining that his innocent word would cost him the sight in his left eye.
Thus began his mysterious life.
The deaths of his parents, a series of unexplained accidents, and…
Prophetic visions unfolding within his now-blind left eye.
In the winter of his nineteenth year, Yeonwoo finally returns to Hyunsajae—the place where it all began.
And so, he finds himself standing before the very gate that had become no different from a nightmare…
Beep—
[You’ve come.]
From the darkness, a man with piercing yellow pupils stepped forward and cupped Yeonwoo’s face. In a low, deep voice, he whispered softly:
[I came to take back what is mine—what you carry.]
“……”
[The Yeouiju embedded here… my Yeouiju.]
Though devoid of sight, Yeonwoo’s left eye still held the man’s eerie radiance.
A cold hand began to press and probe against it.
