Chapter 1
“You bitch!”
Splash. Juice splashed onto the face of a pretty-looking woman. Instantly, her wine-colored hair was soaked. Gasps were heard from everywhere.
The small, shabby cafe was almost empty after lunch time. The sudden dramatic scene caught everyone’s attention.
Swish, swish. The owner and a part-time worker, pretending to wipe dishes, peeked over the counter. They held their breath and watched.
“You little brat! Are you so bored you play around with a married man? You crazy bitch!”
A married man.
The air in the cafe became more tense. The man, who seemed to be the husband, looked lost. He looked back and forth between the soaked woman and his wife.
Soon, the wife’s sharp gaze flew toward her husband.
“You trash. You dirty bastard. How could you not wait, you damn! You dog! No, you’re worse than a dog! You are the biggest trash!”
Sob. The upset wife sniffled and held her stomach.
“You said after the baby is born…… you would let me do it as much as I wanted. It’s only two more months, just two months……!”
She’s pregnant.
People looked at the wife’s stomach, their eyes shining.
Trash.
The looks toward the husband became much colder.
“It’s a misunderstanding! A misunderstanding! We didn’t sleep together! We haven’t slept together yet!”
At that moment, the husband shouted loudly. It seemed he really wanted to clear up that misunderstanding. He looked desperate, almost like he was wronged.
“We just drank tea, talked, and…… comforted each other…… kindly!”
“Don’t lie! Do you comfort with your mouth? You damn…… You dogs. I will kill you both!”
“Ah! Honey! Wait! Pe-people are watching. Please! Calm down first! Ah!”
The wife grabbed her husband’s hair and shook him violently. Because of that, a cup on the table tipped over and wet the other woman’s pants.
The woman sighed quietly. She reached out and set the cup upright. Then she stared at the wife, who was twisting her husband’s collar and talking about killing him.
“See. We didn’t sleep together.”
The woman’s eyes then slid over to the husband.
“I guess we can never sleep together now, Oppa.”
She said this in a sorry tone and got up from her seat. The husband, with his hair messy, hurriedly grabbed her arm.
“Da… Dasom.”
“You never told her you were still waiting until your wife gave birth.”
“Dasom, wait. Listen to me…”
Dasom pushed the table forward to make a path for herself. Then she picked up a napkin and roughly wiped the sticky liquid from her face and neck.
She walked past the husband, who was looking at her sadly. She also made eye contact with the wife, who looked like she wanted to kill someone, and walked past her.
Dasom walked away with light, calm steps, like she was leaving them behind.
But it was only for a moment.
“Where do you think you’re running off to!”
The wife grabbed Dasom’s hair from behind and violently turned her around. Before Dasom could react, the wife smack! slapped her across the face.
Gasps of “Oh!” were heard everywhere.
“You think I’ll let you go easily? Where do you live? I’ll tell your parents everything you did. I’ll spread rumors at your school too! If you do dirty things with someone else’s husband, you have to pay the price!”
The wife scolded Dasom, whose cheek was now red. Dasom touched her hot, stinging cheek with her fingertips. Then she slowly turned her head.
The wife, still angry, raised her hand high like she was going to hit her again.
“Ma’am.”
But Dasom’s voice that came out was completely calm.
“You stole him too, so why are you so upset?”
“……What?”
“You stole your childhood friend’s boyfriend, made her cry tears of blood, acted like nothing happened, got pregnant, and got married… Did you think you would be happy forever?”
“Wha… what….”
The wife’s face turned white. The husband, who had stood up awkwardly, also turned pale. The spectators’ eyes and mouths got busy with this new information.
Dasom brushed her sticky, wet hair and clicked her tongue.
“If you didn’t know a day like this would come, then you really have no conscience.”
The wife looked like she realized something. She staggered back. Her face turned pale blue with ‘could it be?’ Her own past mistake was being shown to her.
Soon, the woman she was thinking of would receive this same scene as a gift.
The sight of their shameless love being torn to pieces.
Dasom turned her gaze to the husband. He looked at her desperately, as if waiting for eye contact. He shook his head like he couldn’t believe it.
It seemed there was something else he wanted to deny even more than getting caught cheating, more than this all being his ex-girlfriend’s plan.
“You said you wanted a divorce…”
You said you loved me…
The husband mumbled like he couldn’t believe it.
Thinking it would be better if he just called her a bitch, Dasom frowned.
“You are the biggest trash, you pathetic fool.”
She didn’t hold back the curse words she had been holding in until the end.
“Ugh… She’s strong.”
Ryu-jin checked her swollen cheek and then took off the wine-colored wig. When she took off the tight cap underneath, her hidden black hair flowed down.
It was impressive it stayed on even when the wife pulled and shook it hard. Sniff, sniff. She smelled the wig. It smelled strongly of syrup.
Can’t use this again.
Thud. Ryu-jin threw the wig in the trash and looked in the mirror again. Her face was a mess, scratched here and there from having her hair pulled.
Ryu-jin sighed and searched her bag. Sunglasses, mask, scarf… She had plenty of things to cover her face.
It was because she was a specialist for the Errand Center, an expert at playing the “other woman.”
She put on the mask, left the women’s restroom, and turned the corner. Hong-young was standing there. Ryu-jin nodded her chin and asked.
“Did you film it well?”
Hong-young grinned and shook his phone. He looked satisfied, like the video came out very well.
“Yeah. But your face, noona…”
Hong-young reached out and slightly pulled down Ryu-jin’s mask. He saw her face and gasped, “Hic!”A
