Chapter 2 – The Evil Wizard Turned… Child?!
Daisy only realized she had been reincarnated into a book world ten years after being born.
When Daisy turned ten, the entire empire celebrated because the story’s main character, Princess Adriana, was blessed by the gods.
‘Everything felt familiar, so I asked my dad. And wow—this is the world from that romance novel!’
But sadly, having that special secret didn’t help much in real life.
‘I don’t even remember the title well. What good is that?’
Daisy pouted as she tried to recall the story:
‘It’s a love story between blessed Princess Adriana and the Marquis of Felice.’
It was a very typical plot. They go through many hardships but overcome them with love.
The villain was also classic—a bad wizard who lived in the western forest.
He tried to win the princess’s heart but failed.
After being rejected, the wizard turned evil, did many bad things, and even kidnapped the princess.
‘But in the end, thanks to Felice’s bravery and Adriana’s wisdom, everything worked out, right?’
Still, knowing how other people’s love story would go wasn’t helpful at all.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the tower door.

“Is anyone there?”
Knock knock knock.
“Hello?”

“Wizard?!”
Bang bang bang! Bang bang! BAM!
“Is anyone theeeeere?!”
She kept knocking like crazy when suddenly, someone spoke behind her.
“Who are you?”
Daisy jumped in surprise.
“Eek! Who’s there?!”
“I asked first.”
“Eeep!”
She turned around and saw a man with jet-black hair and eyes like obsidian.
He was very handsome but gave off a strong, cold feeling.
‘In the novel, the wizard had black hair and black eyes. Is this really… him?’
He looked better than expected, but everything else matched the evil wizard from the book.
Daisy swallowed hard and put her hand on her chest.
“I-I’m Daisy. Are you the great wizard of the western forest?”
The man seemed used to visitors. He answered coldly:
“What do you want? What’s the payment? Speak quickly and leave. My time is more valuable than gold.”
…He was very rude, but Daisy didn’t care.
“My body has a strange problem. I came to ask if you can fix it.”
“Sick? I’m not a doctor. I’m a wizard.”
“A town wizard told me I need the Essence of the World to get better.”
“So?”
Daisy grabbed his robe and begged.
“You’re the great wizard of the west, right? You must have the Essence of the World! Please share a little with me…”
The wizard answered plainly:
“I don’t have it.”
“…What?”
“I said I don’t have the Essence. I’m not interested in it either.”
“Why not?!”
Daisy pulled at her hair.
‘Ugh! Just my luck! Since this is before the events of the story, he must not have found the Essence yet!’
She was shocked, but quickly dropped to her knees in front of him.
“Even cow poop can be used as medicine if you collect enough! So couldn’t you start collecting the Essence now?”
The wizard frowned.
“What? Cow poop? …What a crazy girl.”
He shook her off and walked inside his tower.
SLAM! The door shut in her face.
Daisy banged on the door with her fists.
“Just wait! I won’t give up that easily!”
Three Days Later
Daisy had now been lying next to the wizard’s tower for three whole days.
During that time, she learned some things:
- The evil wizard’s name was Callius
- He had a terrible temper
- He had zero kindness
“How can someone ignore me for three days straight?! If I knew any of his weaknesses, this would be easier. But he’s the final boss! Of course he has none!”
She was mumbling to herself when—
BOOOOM!
A huge explosion shook the ground.
“Kyaaah!”
Daisy sat up in shock, waving away the dust cloud that rose into the air.
Once the dust settled, everything went quiet.
“What just happened?!”
She looked around and saw smoke rising from the wizard’s tower.
“Did it… catch fire?!”
If something happened to Callius, she’d be in big trouble.
“Ahh! My life is on the line!”
Daisy ran to the door and banged with all her strength.
“Callius! Are you okay?! Please don’t die yet—you need to fix me first!”
She kept hitting the door until it flew open. Daisy’s face lit up.
“You’re okay! I’m so glad!”
Now, just like always, Callius would come out and yell at her.
But…
“Huh? Where is he?”
Daisy looked around. Callius wasn’t there.
“Did the door open by magic?”
She tilted her head. Then she heard a voice near her feet.
“…I’m here.”
“Huh? What’s that sound?”
“I’m right here!”
It was a small, childish voice.
“Oh my…”
When she looked down, she saw a tiny little boy—about four or five years old, with black hair and black eyes. He was extremely cute.
Daisy knelt and smiled kindly.
“Who are you, little one? Did you come to learn magic? But where’s Callius?”
“That’s me!”
Daisy blinked.
“Wait, what?”
The boy shouted,
“I’m Callius!”
Tiny Wizard Trouble
The boy—no, Callius—stomped around the room angrily. He even rubbed his chubby chin like he was thinking deeply.
Daisy stared at him, stunned.
‘That kid is really the evil wizard Callius?’
His angry voice and sharp eyes made her believe it.
“What kind of spell did you use to get this young… I mean, did you turn yourself into a child?”
“I don’t know! My magic went out of control during a test!”
He had a slight baby lisp. It was… ridiculously cute. But this wasn’t the time to get distracted!
“So, Callius… does this mean you can’t use magic now?”
