Elysia forced a reluctant smile, and the mage gave her a polite bow in return.
“Then, please take your time exploring the Tower. Once the Deputy Tower Master confirms the appointment, he’ll find you himself.”
Finally, Elysia passed the checkpoint with ease and stepped boldly into the Mage Tower.
“Now, let’s see… where should I start?”
She looked around with an excited expression.
The last time she had visited during the day, sunlight had streamed through the windows. But at night, the Mage Tower felt completely different. Candlelight and ornate decorations lit up the entire building with a warm glow.
Somewhere nearby, a gentle violin melody flowed through the air. Its calm, warm tone added to the cozy atmosphere.
Despite the late hour, mages were bustling about with scrolls and books in hand, busy with research. The quiet liveliness of the night was oddly fascinating.

Elysia made her way toward the library she had seen last time. She had been curious about it for a while now.

How can there be this many unique books in a game?
The bookshelves stretched on endlessly, filled with volumes of all sizes, covers, and titles. Topics spanned philosophy, history, religion, magic, art—you name it.
Normally, a game wouldn’t do this. It’d be a waste of time and memory to render a space this detailed if it wasn’t in the main story. Usually, only one shelf might be carefully decorated, while the rest would be copied and pasted.
But this really feels like a real library…

As he moved, the hood of his robe shifted slightly to reveal his face—and Elysia froze.

Flawless, porcelain-white skin. Jet-black hair in sharp contrast. A face so perfectly sculpted it seemed like a god had carved it by hand. And most striking of all, amethyst-colored eyes that shimmered like jewels between long lashes.
He says he’s just a librarian?
He was too striking, too detailed to be just a random NPC.
Even for a game, his charm and aura were beyond realistic. For a moment, he felt like he could outshine even the main male lead, the crown prince.
Elysia unconsciously tensed and clenched her hand.
