Chapter 8
Three windows popped up in front of Elijia.
The Tutorial Quest completion window, the Skill window, and the Stats window.
The Skill and Stats windows had appeared as rewards for completing the quest. So, the first thing to check was—
‘The quest completion window.’
Elijia opened the quest window.
Tutorial Quest
〈Elijia’s Life〉
You’ve become “Elijia,” the worst villainess in Lady Marigold! To adapt properly, you need to understand your character’s situation first.
So, what kind of person was “Elijia”?
Clues (0/3)
It looked like she had gathered all the clues during the morning chaos. Elijia clicked on the “Clues” section. A more detailed description appeared.
Tutorial Quest
Clues
First Clue: Assassination
You ate poisoned food. Was the poison meant for you?
Second Clue: Forbidden from Going Out
You’ve been grounded. This situation feels oddly familiar—being monitored and restricted from moving freely.
Third Clue: The Semperion Family
Even the servants and your family either fear or disregard Elijia. What happened?
Click to see details for each clue.
Elijia clicked on each clue.
Everything she had just experienced was neatly summarized.
“…Hmph, what a mess.”
So basically, she had no allies in this house and was stuck in the classic “villainess in danger of assassination” role. That was all this confirmed.
It was a classic tutorial-style quest—completely formal and pointless.
Feeling her headache worsen the more she looked, Elijia pushed the quest window aside. What she really needed now wasn’t this useless information—it was the skills and stats she had received as a reward.
‘Especially, I hope there’s at least one decent skill.’
Skills.
Lady Marigold was a romance game, so it probably didn’t include RPG-style terrifying combat skills. Still, the protagonist Frillien, being a Saintess, often used blessings or healing abilities.
The male characters also had a wide range of skills, suited to their roles as knights or wizards.
“But what kind of skills could Elijia possibly have? I’ve never seen her use any in the game.”
Probably something like fork bending.
LOL
“Oh right, I did bend a fork.”
Remembering the fork she had crumpled earlier at the dining table, Elijia nodded.
Even she hadn’t expected that. How could such strength come from these delicate arms? Maybe it was a skill.
“Well, I’ll know for sure once I look. Let’s see… what kind of skills do I have—huh?”
Elijia’s eyes widened as she finally checked the skill list.
“These are the skills I used to have!”
The dazzling skill list in front of her contained all the abilities she had used in Seiros Saga.
She couldn’t help but let out a small gasp—but then, suddenly, a notification window started flashing.
Warning! Prohibited speech is automatically filtered.
What did you just say?
Audio cut out.
Can someone check the internet connection? Why does the stream keep cutting?
Due to the sudden filtering, viewers hadn’t heard what Elijia had said.
But complaints about the signal were short-lived. As soon as people saw Elijia’s skill tree, they began to gasp in awe.
…?
Wait a sec—
Why does she have so many skills??
Weren’t you a newbie?? What kind of account did you link to this??
Is this even Lady Marigold anymore??
They were clearly shocked by the sheer number of her skills.
Why is there Meteor here? That’s an endgame Wizard skill, right??
There’s even endgame Knight skills LOL
She basically has every skill.
Who even is she??
While chat was exploding in disbelief, Elijia calmly scrolled through the list.
Honestly, their reactions were completely justified. Even she was stunned by how impressive her skill list was.
‘Ha… my life’s work, turned into a skill tree…’
This insane tree was exactly as it had been back when she was ranked #1 in Seiros Saga.
‘Some other classes’ skills are mixed in too?’
Her main class had been a wizard. She also had knight skills as a sub-class, which she combined skillfully in combat.
Occasionally, when she was bored, she’d log in on alt characters and level up skills for crafting, archery, and even assassination. It looked like those skills had all transferred over too.
So now her skill window included categories for wizards, knights, assassins, archers, summoners, and crafters. Thank goodness.
‘That gives me a lot of flexibility.’
But…
“They’re all locked?!”
Elijia frowned as she saw that most of her skills were grayed out and locked. Just in case, she clicked on one at random…
Unlock Fire Slash (Attack)?
Required Cash: 1,500,000
You do not have enough cash.
“One… one and a half million?! Why is it so expensive?!”
Right???
A million and a half for one skill?! No freaking way.
LOL
Was Lady Marigold always this pay-to-win??
“Why is there even a cash shop system?!”
Elijia frowned in disbelief. These were all skills she had earned herself in Seiros Saga! And now she had to pay to use them again?
“I already need to earn money as it is!”
She was now forced to choose: unlock skills with her earnings, or save up to escape? Either way, all those skills were just decorations for now. She couldn’t use any of them.
“How much money do I even have to earn?”
With a sigh, Elijia swiped away the skill window.
“For now, I’m broke, so let’s set that aside… time to check the stat window.”
Stats.
This window showed the player’s condition—especially health, mana, and other core abilities.
“I did eat poison earlier, so I need to see how much health I lost.”
She still felt okay, so it probably wasn’t serious. But it was better to check for sure.
“Let’s see, what’s Elijia’s base health?”
Her expectations were low—after all, she only cared about skills. But then…
Stats
User: Elijia Semperion (Re-rPwjdddmfh wjqthr)
Health: 53,332,561
Mana: 71,459,283
Strength: 62,435,174
Agility: 64,145,523
“…Huh?”
The moment she saw her stats, the chat exploded with question marks.
Over 50 million HP… 70 million MP…?
I didn’t know this game supported tens of millions of stats…
This is a cheat. I’m reporting it LOL, bye
“Ohh…”
Elijia slowly scanned the numbers.
‘This is… actually insane.’
These were almost identical to her final stats from her Seiros Saga days. And unlike her skills, none of them were locked!
In other words, current Elijia’s base stats were all in the tens of millions.
“So, how does this translate in Lady Marigold?”
LOL what do you mean “how strong” she is?! She’s totally busted!!
Frillien only has 400 HP lolol
She’s probably stronger than the Tower Master
Are we sure she’s not a Swordmaster??
Wait, but she can’t use skills yet
Still… those stats are cracked
Even Seiros Saga barely had players this strong
‘…I did.’
That was me.
Elijia proudly rubbed under her nose. After all that grinding and questing, to finally show off her god-tier stats like this—it felt good.
“No wonder the poison didn’t affect me.”
She hadn’t felt pain, fatigue, or even discomfort. The fork had crumpled easily, her body bursting with energy.
“These stats… are actually pretty great.”
“Pretty great” she says LOL
This is straight-up cheating
How is a newbie the strongest person in the world??
She could literally make a fortune just being a mercenary
“Mercenary? Would that pay well? Then maybe I should try it…”
Wait, is she seriously considering this?!
If she joins your side, your army just wins automatically
She doesn’t even need skills LOL
Elijia, tempted by the idea of making money, had a dead-serious look on her face. She stood up and clapped her hands.
“Hm… I wonder if I could get rich by hunting dragons? That’s good. I’ve decided—I’m going to become a mercenary. I’ll wear a mask, travel the world slaying monsters, and earn a fortune!”
LOL ma’am this isn’t even a romance fantasy anymore
Excuse me?! LOL
“…I’ll become… the villainess who slays dragons.”
As Elijia was solemnly muttering to herself, a flashing red window appeared before her.
Congratulations on completing the tutorial!
You’ve checked both your Skills and Stats windows!
Now, your Main Quest will be assigned!
“…Main quest?”
The window shimmered bright red—not your average quest window. The flashing was borderline dizzying. Elijia was just realizing how ominous it felt when another pitch-black window popped up.
WARNING.
Failure to complete the Main Quest within the time limit may result in player termination.
At dfaljkre/#$sgfd%, your safety is our top priority.
Please follow the Main Quest.
“…What?”
What kind of threatening message was that?
The warning window glitched and fizzled out with a buzzing, eerie machine noise.
‘Okay, but what is the Main Quest?!’
Just as Elijia screamed internally, the final quest window appeared.
