Synopsis
An adoptive father who lovingly raised her from childhood, despite them being complete strangers by blood.
For his liver transplant surgery, On Haru goes so far as to enter a loveless marriage.
But then, out of nowhere, a handsome man barges into the wedding with a loudspeaker and ruins the ceremony—only to deliver a shocking message:
“Ms. Cha Hyowon, your grandmother is waiting for you. Chairwoman Kang Malja of Bareun Group… is your maternal grandmother.”
The man, Lee Shinrok, storms into her wedding accompanied by the blare of sirens, dragging back the past that Haru—abandoned by her biological mother—had only just managed to bury, and thrusting himself into her life.
Born into a chaebol family yet unwilling to return to it, On Haru finds herself entangled with Lee Shinrok—a drifter of that very world who becomes irresistibly drawn to her.
A passionate love story unfolds between them.
They say summer nights are sweet.
