I was reincarnated as an extra in a dark, R-rated novel.
In the original story, my role was simple—and doomed. Blinded by greed, I would attempt to assassinate the villain, fail miserably, and in doing so, become the very reason he descended into darkness. And the price for daring to kill him?
Death.
If I didn’t try to kill him, I would fall out of favor with the soon-to-be Empress. But if I followed the script… I would die. Worse, I couldn’t bring myself to harm him—not after everything we had been through together.
So I chose a different path.
I decided to take him and flee the Imperial Palace.
But fate was not so easily defied.
The Count of Hupernen and the Empress interfered, tearing apart our escape plan. In the end, I was the only one who managed to get away.
I ran alone.
Officially, I was declared missing.
With the money I had prepared in advance, I fled to another region, forged a new identity, and began a completely different life.
