Chapter 6
“Brother and sister? Incest?”
That’s what she should have said. So why wouldn’t the words come out?
Probably because of those two people lingering in her mind—Go Dohun and Seo Yeo-ra.
Seo Yeo-ra, you used logic as an excuse to approach my man. So… couldn’t I do the same to get revenge?
Fueled by that childish spite, she shot a question back at Iseong.
“…Why not?”
But it’s not like Iseong’s erectile dysfunction would suddenly be cured just because it’s her.
And besides, he considered her a sister. No way he could feel any physical attraction toward her.
So she had to ask again.
“Could you do it with me? A kiss… or sex. You can’t, right? You’re not even functional, remember?”
“What if I could? That means… I could do it with you, right?”
Excuse me? Where’s the Iseong who used to scoff and say he could never get aroused by her?
This was turning into a full-on battle of pride, with neither side willing to retreat.
“Hah. This is just bravado, right? You trying to protect your precious male ego again? You can be honest with me, you know. But hey, go ahead. I won’t stop you. I’d be flattered.”
“…Hmm—really? Then come here.”
Once his competitive streak was lit, Iseong didn’t back down. He gently closed his eyes and leaned his face forward.
She should’ve struck first. But this bastard was already landing the first move—by literally bringing his face inches from hers.
Didn’t she just say no face attacks?
And of course, he went for the very thing she was most wary of.
Even with his eyes closed, he looked ridiculously handsome. Friend or not, there was no denying the objective facts.
From puberty onward, Iseong had grown into his looks—and added a masculine edge to his already-pretty face. Just when she thought she was used to it, he’d catch her off guard again.
Just like now.
Neat, delicate brows. Sharp eyes that stayed sexy even when closed. A nose that looked carved by the gods. And those full, pink lips that looked… delicious.
She could see why women swooned over him.
The alcohol still fogged her mind.
Softly exhaling, she leaned toward his face.
What the hell am I doing?
The guilt tugged at the back of her mind, the kind that came from breaking a taboo.
This was Iseong. Her friend of thirty years. He’d seen everything—things he shouldn’t have, too.
The guy who knew how many moles she had on her arms and legs. Who knew her baby-short nails, her duck-butt, her insecurities.
Could she really… do this with him?
With his eyes closed, Iseong looked not just sexy, but almost innocent. Maybe he’d just showered—his skin looked fresh and dewy. Even his lips glowed a soft pink.
Why the hell does a guy have lips that pretty?
If it weren’t Iseong, if it were just the booze talking, she might’ve leaned in to feel the warmth of those lips.
But instead, she blinked rapidly and jerked back from his face.
The moment the distance between them grew, Iseong’s eyes snapped open.
Oh, no.
Her heart thudded like it had dropped to the floor. This… this was dangerous. Her defenses—so carefully built up over the years—were beginning to crack.
She felt a forced smile twist across her lips. She didn’t need a mirror to know how awkward she looked.
“Iseong… I give up. I was wrong. I… I mean… about your, uh, dysfunction. I guess… maybe it’s not even real…”
Weird.
Iseong’s smooth grin wasn’t like his usual ones. Normally, he’d smirk or laugh out loud.
Why did he suddenly look like a movie star trying to seduce someone?
“You still don’t believe me.”
“Don’t—don’t make that romantic face! How dare you! You think it’s okay to flash that smutty smile in front of your friend?!”
Her words tumbled out in a flustered mess.
Then Iseong reached out and rested his hand on her lower back.
His warm palm through the fabric startled her. Her shoulders flinched from the way her heart skipped.
Something was seriously off. It was like her friend had vanished, and in his place was an actor giving his all to seduce a woman.
“…What is it?” she asked, dazed.
“Your face is red. And you’re shaking.”
Of course he would notice. He knew her that well.
He’d seen her happy, angry, crying. He could read her like a book.
But had she ever blushed in front of him before? Ever trembled?
Ah. Just once. That day.
But this felt even more intense than that day.
“…Iseong.”
This is bad.
She needed to stop.
They couldn’t cross this line. They were like siblings.
She had to say it out loud.
But the words… never came.
And in that silence, Iseong leaned in and said—
“Jeong-a. I’m going to kiss you. Push me away if you don’t want it.”
“…What?”
Wait.
Hold on.
Kiss? Just like that?
But again, her mouth failed her.
Iseong pulled her in by the back, and before she could even register the heat of his breath, his lips met hers.
Gasp.
What the hell?
She didn’t even have time to process before her defenses collapsed.
Her best friend, Iseong—was kissing her.
This wasn’t supposed to happen. But she couldn’t deny it. His soft lips brushed hers with a jolt that shattered every forbidden thought.
She was sober now. Stone cold sober.
His breath and scent wrapped around her lips. The man kissing her wasn’t just a man. It was Iseong. Her childhood friend. The one who should’ve never become a man to her.
His kiss melted her. She tried to back away, to regain control.
But her body wouldn’t cooperate.
And Iseong moved faster.
No longer just pressing lips, he opened his mouth.
His warm breath kissed her lips and sparked something wild inside her.
Oh no.
Something inside her was changing.
A change that shouldn’t be happening.
Her lower belly clenched. Her underwear felt damp.
“Haa…”
Her lips parted, and a wet moan escaped.
As if waiting for the cue, Iseong’s tongue slipped in.
To wet her dry lips, to suck and bite at her lower lip, to lick across her mouth.
“Hhng…”
Wait a minute. He said he’d never been with a woman before?
Maybe not sex, but he sure seemed experienced with kissing.
It was too much.
Her body tingled with carnal heat.
This was Iseong. Her idiot best friend.
And yet, all she wanted was to feel him with her whole body.
This didn’t make sense.
And what terrified her was… it felt good. Too good.
Kissing Iseong was so arousing it made her dizzy.
And they hadn’t even really started yet.
When his teasing tongue finally slid fully into her mouth, she nearly melted.
The wet pressure danced around inside her, bold and intimate.
Gasp.
She never thought she’d be doing something this intimate with her best friend.
His heated tongue twisted inside her, and when it brushed the tip of hers, the pleasure was so intense it made her legs tremble.
“Mmgh.”
His tongue stroked hers, explored her mouth, tasted her with maddening precision.
It was overwhelming. Delicious. Insane.
Because it was Iseong. Her lifelong best friend.
This craving, this madness, made no sense—but it consumed her.
She clutched at his waist, leaned her head back.
Her eyes sparkled with confusion and heat as she looked at him.
Her lips, soaked in his saliva, parted with disbelief.
“…How… how is this even possible?”
