Chapter 3
At some point, Haejoo had erased Mancheol from her mind, and now she was panting as she felt Seungjo.
Just like his dazzling appearance, Seungjoâs bare body was beautifully sculpted with refined muscles.
Under such a body, Haejoo cried and moaned endlessly. From her feet to her cheeks, red marks bloomed where Seungjo kissed her whole body.
Seungjo’s stamina was far beyond what Haejoo imagined. He held and devoured her tirelessly until morning.
It was a night filled entirely by Seungjo.
It was also the night she fell into an unbearably sweet pleasure, as painful as Seungjoâs overwhelming presence.
âOh no, one night wonât be enough.â
And from that day on, Haejoo became Seungjo’s secret partner.
âThat night, I was more than satisfied with your body. I still want you. Everything about you turns me on.â
âOf course, I donât plan to date you. Didnât you say you liked me? Well, if you enjoy it, and I get what I want from you, isnât it a win-win?â
Haejoo couldn’t turn away from Seungjo’s arrogant voice, thick with desire.
Seungjo kissed her hotly, overlapping their bodies again. Every night, he either sought her out or called her to be with him.
Just as he warned, there was no love, no affectionâonly desire. Yet Haejooâs one-sided love only grew stronger.
Recalling the past year, Haejoo felt her body heat up.
Her growing love and the way her body had become conditioned to Seungjo made her react instantly.
âExecutive Director, not now. Please?â
âYou want it, I want it. Why not?â
Seungjo furrowed his brows and skillfully undid Haejooâs blouse. His eyes, burning with intense desire, stared down at her now-exposed skin.
âItâs been two days. Iâve had to relieve myself imagining you in my bed.â
Haejoo exhaled, flushed with heat.
âHow are you so perfectly my type, huh?â
Seungjo teased with a sly flick of his tongue. In the end, Haejoo gasped and wrapped her arms around his neck.
âDonât let go tonight. Hold me tightly.â
Seungjo let out a satisfied chuckle and began to caress her more gently.
âAh… Please donât bite, Executive Director.â
âYouâre too pretty not to.â
âHngh…!â
âWerenât you enjoying this too?â
He ran his fingers over her flushed, sensitive peak. His touch was always fiery, yet his expression rarely showed any sign of disturbance.
âHngh⊠Executive DirectorâŠâ
In bed, Seungjo was always this intense.
Haejoo tried not to be deluded, tried to steel herselfâbut the more his scent and touch engulfed her, the more her heart pounded.
âStay over.â
âIâll come by after work tomorrow. My elderâs at home tonightâŠâ
Seungjoâs handsome lips curled in displeasure. As Haejoo glanced toward the suit pants that hinted at his arousal, he suddenly grabbed a vase on the bedside table and knocked it over.
âExecutive DirectorâŠ!â
âWhat was that noise?â
Na-ae, who had been approaching the bedroom, rushed over just as Seungjo walked out, unbuttoning his damp shirt.
âWhat happened to your clothes? Did Haejoo mess up?â
Na-ae, doting on her grandson, raised her voice.
âAll this trouble just to place a gift in your room?!â
âI dropped the vase while trying to move it.â
âThereâs a limit to mistakes! Youâre not usually this clumsyâŠâ
âIâd like to shower and rest now. When are you leaving?â
âI havenât seen my grandson in two weeks! Now youâre asking me to leave right after arriving?â
âWhatâs there to see in a grandson who left home for over three years?â
Seungjo chuckled and walked past Na-ae into the dining room. He waited until the faint sound of Haejooâs shaky breath from the bedroom settled.
âSun Haejoo⊠aging backward or something? So cute.â
Remembering the way Haejoo trembled while accepting him, Seungjo let out a quiet laugh. The soft smile on his cold face didnât match the image of someone soaked from a clumsy staff memberâs mistake, making Na-ae uneasy.
âJust thinking about that time makes me explode inside! Thatâs why Sangyoon is in the presidentâs seat of Taehwa Group now, a seat meant for you!â
âDid you come here just to waste time reminiscing?â
âAhem, no. I came to toast you! Our Executive Director Seungjo!â
Na-ae looked up proudly as Seungjo sipped sparkling water mixed with whiskey over ice. Unlike her boastful, reckless grandson Sangyoon, Seungjo was calm and collected. He was always eager to learn beyond what he was taught.
âBy the way, where is she hiding after causing such a mess?â
Just then, Haejoo walked in with a composed face.
âMy apologies, Executive Director.â
âI was the one who made the mistake.â
Seungjo lowered his glass and stared at Haejoo, who held a white towel in her clasped hands.
âDidnât I say you didnât have to clean up?â
âIâm sorry. I had to use the towel from your bathroom in a hurry.â
âHow foolish. You couldâve called the butler instead of going all the way to the bathroom.â
âItâs easier for me to do it myself. If youâll excuse me, Iâll wait in the car. Madam.â
âHonestly, what a mess on such a good day!â
As Haejoo turned and left, the overhead track lights scattered softly over her small shoulders. Her neck was faintly flushed, remembering the intimacy from earlier.
Sun Haejoo.
Even her name carried a delicate floral scent. She was clumsy, innocent, and even in bed, she retained her purity.
âAh, Executive Director, please donât do that. Kiss me instead. Just kiss, please. There⊠ahâŠâ
She would cover her face in embarrassment and plead. Thatâs when Seungjo’s desire became too much. He would grasp her thighs and press deep between them.
Only after he made her cry would she show her hidden faceâflushed, tearful, and lovely.
Seungjo smiled in satisfaction. His eyes glowed with desire as he watched Haejoo.
Perhaps that was why…
Sun Haejoo stirred something primal in him. No matter how deeply he kissed or took her, he always craved more. Even now, all he could think of was burying himself in her soft white skin.
That was their agreement, after all. And tonight, he planned to have her all night long.
As her scent lingered, a ticklish heat rose from deep within him.
With eyes full of burning desire, Seungjo spoke in a calm, icy voice:
âNow that youâve taken over the Management Support Department from Sangyoon, isn’t that a good sign? Letâs solidify your position.â
âOf course.â
âDo you remember the promise we made when you left home? That Taehwa Group would eventually be yours.â
âHave I ever broken a promise?â
Seungjo replied indifferently.
Sun Haejoo, transfer 1 million won to your uncleâs account right now!
On her way to work, Haejoo regretted answering a call from her uncle, Mancheol.
You remember my elementary school buddy Gwangsik? His sonâs getting married, and he sent an invitation. Itâs a fancy hotelâdo you expect me to show up in shabby clothes? I need a decent suit and shoes!
