Story 76
The Faceless Photograph
One day, an envelope with no sender arrived in the mailbox at home. Inside were several photographs taken when I went mountain climbing with my friends, but for some reason, my face in all of them had been erased—smooth, blank, featureless. I wondered who would do such a thing and why, so I consulted a friend.
“That’s scary. But… how did you know it was you if your face isn’t there?”
“Well, I looked at the clothes… but… wait, did I even own clothes like that?”
I tried to recall, but the truth was, I had never gone mountain climbing in the first place.
