Story 2
Handmade Present
Since I was born in winter, the birthday presents I received were often things related to the season—scarves, aroma candles, that sort of thing.
One year, the gift I got from my young niece was a pair of hand-knitted gloves. She had apparently spent about two months making them for me.
When I looked at them, I noticed that the right-hand glove had six fingers. “Ah, she must’ve made a mistake,” I thought at the time, finding it rather endearing.
That was—until a month later, when a sixth finger began to grow from my right hand.
