The End of the Play Is Not for Viewing
Leaving Calion behind, she walked aimlessly along the red carpet. Jenny had told her that a magical hallway would guide her if she followed the carpet. But before she knew it, Jenny and Gerard were nowhere to be seen. The man in the rabbit mask appeared beside her, without a sound.
“May I guide you, madam?”
Milena stopped and looked up at the man. It wasn’t a typical rabbit mask. The white ceramic mask only had holes for the eyes.
“Are you the Guild Master?”
“I am, to my embarrassment. I am the owner of this place.”
He held out a hand in a white glove, and Milena carefully placed her hand on it.
“I only intended to make a request, but it’s an honor to meet the Guild Master himself.”
“The honor is all mine, madam.”
The man lifted his rabbit mask slightly and kissed the back of her hand.
“That’s enough, I’d like you to let go.”
As he didn’t seem to want to let go, with his lips still on her hand, she tried to pull her hand away with force. He reluctantly let go, and the mask returned to its place. A double voice flowed from inside the mask.
“I have a question, madam.”
Was this magic as well? Two voices of different pitches were mixed, distorting his voice. Her hand was still held in his large one.
“Is it true that your husband is very jealous?”
“Why are you curious?”
“Well, I’m interested in you, perhaps?”
The man was subtly caressing the back of her hand. Such a blatant advance. Milena’s red lips twisted slightly. The heavily made-up beauty, whose eyes looked even fiercer, asked, “Do you do this to other women?”
Startled, the man raised his hand and spoke, as if to prove his innocence. “Oh, did I surprise you? I apologize. I swear, you are the first, madam.”
Even though she was wearing quite high heels, her gaze only reached the man’s nose. Milena lifted her eyes and looked at the red eyes, the only things visible on his smooth white mask.
“You asked if my husband is jealous? How much will you pay for that information?”
“Hmm, are you willing to sell?”
“Isn’t this a place to buy and sell information? My information is expensive. Especially since my husband is a well-known person. Information about the third son of the Silbert family would be even more expensive.”
Milena was the epitome of a proud noblewoman. The man who had been staring at her blankly and blinking slowly, finally burst into laughter.
“Haha, all I have is wealth, so I can afford any price.”
“Is that so?”
As she started walking again, the high-end dress that hugged her body swayed delicately. The door to a reception room had appeared before them. She pushed the door open as if she were the owner of the place. She glanced back and said,
“Then, shall we find out?”
It was a provocative smile. Her smooth, bare back was faintly visible through her light blonde hair. The beautiful sight made his throat dry.
“How jealous my husband is.”
The man in the rabbit mask was so captivated by the femme fatale that he fell for the temptation helplessly. Click- the door to the secret, confidential space closed.
A reception room that only special clients could enter. At a single gesture from the Guild Master, who never showed his face, the 24-hour auction house’s operations were shut down.
With a thud, the large man collapsed on the soft sofa, powerless against the woman’s touch. Having pushed him down with great momentum, she got onto the sofa with her knees bent and placed her hands on his firm chest.
“Madam.”
The man’s voice became even deeper from her suggestive, meaningful touch.
“What is it?”
“Are you thinking of making me your lover?”
“I wonder.”
What on earth was she thinking? The red eyes under the mask watched Milena intently. The high-quality dress clung to her body. His knee, stuck between her legs, twitched.
“What if my husband gives his permission?”
His hand in the white glove instinctively tightened, wanting to grab her waist right away.
“If he gives his permission, will you take me as your lover?”
Watching his wife, who was so unpredictable, there was never a dull moment. Yes, Milena was always a woman who exceeded his expectations. There was no time to be off guard. But was she really trying to cheat on him with another man? And a man she had just met? He craved an answer, but she remained silent. With a careful expression, she was moving her hands.
Click-clack- The tie around his neck was loosened, and the front of his shirt was being unbuttoned. He was pleased with her seduction, but he also started to feel down at the fact that she, who didn’t recognize him, was giving her body to another man. If he took her now, would she be in the arms of someone other than her husband? A destructive impulse arose in him, wanting to completely ruin his wife, who was so perfectly dressed up.
Unaware of the base thoughts he was having, Milena opened her lips.
“You said you were curious if my husband is jealous, right?”
Her hands moved along his broad shoulders, which were leaning back on the sofa as soft as a bed. His neat white suit was already a mess. Was she really going to do it here? Just as he was about to frown.
“Then, shall we ask him?”
Her hand, without any warning, went to his chin, which was covered by the mask. Crack- It seemed like electricity was sparking, but the mask was easily lifted without any reaction, revealing his beautifully sculpted face.
“How about it, Lexion?”
As the face hidden by a great secret was revealed to the world, what met him was the beautiful woman’s smile, wrapped in the light of the chandelier.
“Are you very jealous?”
Her subtle question made his heart ache. He forgot to breathe and looked at Milena’s face, who was on top of him. It was an expression only he could see. It was a smile only he could have. He couldn’t help but stare blankly.
“That was dangerous.”
Lexion was not even aware of what he was saying.
“There’s a spell on the mask. You’re not supposed to touch it carelessly.”
“Really?”
‘I didn’t know that,’ she muttered, looking at the rabbit mask in her hand. When she touched the mask, it seemed like static electricity had sparked, but perhaps that wasn’t it. Made of ceramic, it was quite heavy. It was as expensive as it was heavy, but Lexion took it and casually threw it on the floor.
“How long have you known?”
“From the beginning? Eek.”
He couldn’t hold back and pulled her down, lying on the sofa. Their positions had changed, and Lexion, who had laid her down, touched his red earring, changing his hair color back to silver.
“Hmm, white suited you well too.”
As she reached out her hand, Lexion immediately grabbed it and kissed it.
“Is that earring also invisible to others?”
“Yes.”
It was absolutely invisible. It was an item that even the magic-overflowing Grand Duke Calion couldn’t see.
“Your voice was a bit unique, but it sounded just like yours.”
Perhaps it was because of the special magic she had. It seemed the things he had set up didn’t work on her.
“Is that how you figured it out?”
“I was unsure because your face was covered, but not only the red earring… Gerard couldn’t hide his expression. He looked like something terrible had happened because his lord had appeared.”
“I’ll have to retrain him.”
It was a statement that would have made Gerard shudder with injustice. Even as he spoke with a chilling expression, he felt relieved. He was glad she hadn’t seen his true self. If she had seen his real face, she wouldn’t have come this close or smiled at him like this. He had no intention of ever revealing his true face.
She changed her tone to a playful one, speaking to him as he was lost in thought, lying on top of her.
“So, my nameless one. Has your curiosity been satisfied?”
Lexion, who was blinking slowly, chuckled and played along with her words.
“Are you trying to negotiate with the Guild Master? You are bold, madam. If your husband knew you were…”
He touched her lips with his white-gloved hand and then pushed it to the side, smudging her lipstick.
“If your husband knew you were caught with another man, he would be furious. Your very jealous husband might go crazy. Is that what you want?”
He bit the tip of the red-stained white glove with his mouth and started taking them off, one by one. Milena, who was staring blankly at his sensual movements, tried to act nonchalant but was flustered inside.
“Um, hey. Should we continue our business? I came here to make a request.”
Lexion, who was taking off his neat suit and stuffy vest, smiled even more deeply at her words. In his captivating red eyes, a deep, passionate desire was revealed.
