Chapter – 08

Startled as her back hit the wall, Nadia looked up with wide eyes at the man who had committed such a daring act.

Just a moment ago, she thought his green eyes held no emotion, but now they were glaring at her as if he were about to devour her. A man twice her size had her trapped within his arms with a terrifying expression, but rather than being afraid, she was simply furious.

Nadia glared back at him, determined not to back down.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

“…Don’t speak to me like that.”

She could see the tension in his jaw as he gritted his teeth, as if suppressing his rage. His voice sounded less like a human’s and more like the low growl of a beast. Nadia couldn’t understand in the slightest why he was so angry.

What is his problem? She wondered if he was dissatisfied because their “playtime” had ended before he was finished. Her twisted perspective made it impossible to view any of his actions in a positive light.

“Like what?”

“Like this—as if you’re dealing with someone who means nothing to you…”

“But you are nothing to me now.”

It was absurd that he was trying to entangle himself with her again so slyly. He didn’t know what she had been thinking when she turned her back on him, with what heart she had held back her tears, or what kind of dawn she had endured.

No, he could act like this precisely because he didn’t know. Regardless, whatever he said now was useless. She vowed never to be fooled by his words again. One such painful experience was enough.

In Nadia’s heart, he had already fallen to the status of a despicable man who had toyed with her at his whim. Even if that weren’t the case, she had just gotten married yesterday and was now another man’s wife. There was no reason for her to be with this man.

“There’s no need to be so prickly. I expected something like this might happen eventually. Though, the timing is a bit faster than I thought…”

“What on earth are you talking about?”

Nadia bit her lip, regretting her impulsive question. She had just vowed not to be swayed by him. Pushing against the arms blocking her on both sides, she spoke coldly.

“Move. I have nothing more to say to you.”

She didn’t want to hear anything from him. Every word out of his mouth only served to frighten her. She tried to push Asil away with more strength, but he didn’t budge. Since she hadn’t expected to be able to escape him with her own strength anyway, she wasn’t particularly disappointed.

“I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve, but it’s over.”

These were the words she had desperately wanted to say if she ever met Asil again. Nadia strained her eyes to keep from bursting into unsightly tears. Her forced smile seemed to tremble, but she managed to finish her sentence.

“You’ve had your fun, haven’t you?”

A fist flew past her face. She jumped in surprise, but the look in Asil’s eyes as he glared at her was far scarier than the loud thud echoing by her ear. Only then did she truly register the difference in their physical sizes, and she realized her shoulders had begun to shake.

But at the same time, she was angry. Who was the one truly in the wrong? After deceiving her so much, instead of begging for forgiveness, he was threatening her.

Nadia was certain that she was the only one entitled to be angry here. There was no need to be intimidated by such low-class threats. To threaten a lady—it seemed he didn’t possess a shred of chivalry. Before Nadia could hurl more accusations at him while hiding her trembling hands, he spoke.

“That might be the case for you, but not for me. I haven’t ended it.”

“Don’t talk crazy! I got married yesterday!”

“That doesn’t matter.”

His rough, hot hand carefully cupped Nadia’s cheek. Contrary to his threatening attitude just moments ago, it was a touch as gentle as if he were handling something that would break at the slightest mistake.

While she was momentarily stunned by the contrast, he pressed his thumb firmly against Nadia’s lips. Nadia tried to deny that she was waiting for whatever he would say next. Then, he continued…

“What matters is that I am not letting you go.”

His lips lunged at hers. Since her retreat had been blocked for some time, she was forced to be pushed back helplessly. Her wrists, which had been frantically pushing at his shoulders, were caught, and her attempts to turn her head away were easily thwarted by the hand gripping the back of her neck.

Until now, the only contact she’d had with him was a light kiss. There was a time when she was happy, thinking that his lack of demands was because he cherished her.

But the current Asil was so unfamiliar. His eyes, his tone, his actions—it felt as though everything she knew about him was a lie, and it made her feel sorrowful.

When she kept her mouth tightly shut, his hand grabbed her jaw. He applied only a small amount of pressure, but her mouth opened from the pain. As his thick tongue filled her mouth, tears welled up at the rush of complex thoughts.

A touch with clear sexual intent toyed with her earlobe before stroking her nape. Nadia trembled at the ticklish and indescribable sensation, clinging to the thought of how to escape this moment.

Even considering the size difference, escaping through strength was impossible. Even if she struggled, if her hair became messy or her dress wrinkled, she would look suspicious to anyone she encountered in the hallway. Rumors would spread instantly, and if that happened…

Overwhelmed by a sudden sense of helplessness, Nadia relaxed her body. She just had to endure this moment. Just a little bit… Asil was likely just upset because his “toy” had been taken away; he would soon come to his senses and back off. If she generously told him she would act as if this never happened, he would surely accept and leave.

He knows the reality, so he surely will. What could a mere knight do against a Marquis? It would be fine. Nadia was scheduled to leave for Elheim with her husband in four days, so she would never have to face Asil again. As he aggressively sucked on her tongue, she desperately soothed herself, trying to push the words “I will not let you go” out of her head.

“Mmm…”

Asil released Nadia’s wrists and pulled her waist tightly into an embrace. Her body was pressed flush against his, and her back arched. Every time their tightly locked lips parted slightly, the sound of their tongues entangling and their ragged breaths mixed together, making it impossible to tell whose was whose.

His fingertips brushed over her lower back as carefully as if he were handling a delicate instrument, sending goosebumps across her skin. She felt his gaze piercing her as if monitoring her reaction, but Nadia squeezed her eyes shut and ignored his stare.

She wanted to remain indifferent to all of this, but her body kept reacting of its own accord. Just as Nadia barely swallowed another groan, his hand dug deeper into her nape, and a stinging pain flared before he stopped moving.

He pressed his fingertip firmly against the spot where a clear bite mark remained before pulling his lips away. The sensation of his tongue sliding out from between her lips was vivid. Nadia panted, her face flushed red.

In the brief moment she waited for him to step back while catching her breath, her silk gloves were stripped off before she could even realize it. Flustered, she hid her hands behind her back. But it was too late; he had already seen the blue bruises circling her wrists.

A laugh of disbelief escaped his mouth. Her face burned with shame at having the marks of the previous night’s activities discovered.

“It’s him. Your husband.”

Nadia wanted to run away and hide somewhere immediately. However, she couldn’t leave until she checked a mirror in the corner of the room to see if she looked decent.

She managed to harden her expression. Her face felt hot, so she couldn’t be sure how dignified she actually looked.

“That’s enough…”

“I truly regret it.”

Asil cut her off and muttered something nonsensical. She couldn’t read the emotion in his green eyes as he looked down at her. He roughly grabbed Nadia’s shoulders and turned her around.

“Wh-what are you trying… Eek!”

Her skirt was flipped up. Asil, who had grabbed Nadia’s thighs firmly as she struggled in surprise, spoke with a face so calm he didn’t look like the person who had just committed such a bold act.

“Stay still. Before I rip this dress to shreds.”

Even though she thought he wouldn’t actually do it, Nadia was terrified. She leaned her hands against the wall and struggled to keep from crying.

She couldn’t believe it. This man is really Asil? Even as she felt his hands pull her hips back and drag down her undergarments, she couldn’t even put up a fight, simply denying the reality of the situation.

Despite her efforts to hold back tears, her cheeks were soaked at the horrific fact that her private parts were being exposed to another person. How did things turn out this way?

His fingers toyed with her labia, which were swollen from the aftermath of the previous night’s intercourse. Nadia was horrified. She almost screamed, but she barely managed to cover her mouth and looked toward the door. She didn’t think he had locked it when he came in. If someone were to catch her like this…

“Spread your legs.”

He said, tapping her bare buttocks. His tone and actions were as insulting as if he were dealing with a prostitute.

“…No.”

He let out a laugh, having heard her small, crawling voice.

“No?”

“Ah!”

She heard the sound of her undergarments, which had been caught on her thighs, being torn away. Nadia sobbed and spread her legs slightly.

She felt his gaze on her so intensely it felt like a sting. After being observed for a long time, she felt like she was going crazy—not just from the situation, but from the fear that someone might open that door.

Why is he going this far? Nadia still couldn’t fully understand why Asil was so angry with her.

Just a moment ago, he had wanted a conversation and she had refused; now, she wanted a conversation, but he seemed to have no intention of it anymore.

“St-stop now…”

One could tell he wasn’t listening at all just by how he parted her labia and began to touch the tender flesh inside. The moment Asil’s hand touched her, Nadia realized she was wet.

She squeezed her eyes shut. She wanted to die of shame, knowing Asil was seeing everything. However, she soon let out a short scream and had to open her eyes again. She felt a tongue licking the opening along with a hot breath.

“Wh-why are you… You’re crazy, have you lost your mind… Ah!”

The more Nadia spoke words of horror, the bolder Asil’s actions became. She couldn’t even struggle to save the dress she had to wear to the party, and could only stomp her feet in frustration.

Nadia Ingram was a Duke’s daughter who just wanted to be loved. At the behest of her family, she entered an arranged marriage with the arrogant and self-indulgent Marquis Edwin R. Elantz. However, as she was trying to come to terms with her new life as a married woman, she somehow reunited with her ex-lover, Asheel Khurshid, who was Edwin’s knight. This marriage, which she had wanted to be peaceful and uneventful, grew turbulent in the presence of the two men in her life. * * * “Don’t tell me you just got back from rolling around in bed with some other bastard? You smell like c*m.” “…Th-that isn’t the case at all!” Inside her dress, Asheel’s fluids trickled down to her knees, but Nadia still firmly denied it. She almost broke out in cold sweat as she pretended that nothing was amiss. It was a relief that she was good at controlling her expressions, but she continued to avoid the persistent gaze directed at her, hoping that he would just drop the subject and let it go. “Then, is it mine?” He drew close to whisper into her ear, dirty words leaving his languid tongue as he teased her with a hint of sadistic glee. “You must have had fun until early morning, hm? It’d be nice if you could make sure to handle it properly so we won’t need to worry about any illegitimate children. How are you doing now, is it leaking out?” Nadia felt the blood drain from her face. — ▸ Edwin R. Elantz – the most powerful man in the Empire; surrounded by many bad rumors after gaining the trust of the Emperor; would do however as he pleased; an apathetic-looking eye candy who actually has a twisted personality; uses his eloquence well ▸ Asheel Khurshid – a commoner knight; with his skills alone, he managed to rise to the position of deputy commander of the best knight order in the Empire; quiet and calm; rarely loses his temper, but he definitely would if someone pushed his buttons ▸ Nadia Ingram – hails from a ducal family on the verge of bankruptcy; suffered from a childhood devoid of warmth and affection; unlike how she appears while pretending to be arrogant, truthfully she’s naive and vulnerable ▸ “I’m a greedy man. I have no plans of sharing you at all. That’s why… you’d better consider your actions very carefully.”
