Chapter 2

 In the Darkness

Voices echoed around me, murmuring in the dark.

It seemed… I had survived.

I opened my eyes and tried raising the same hand I’d seen before I fainted.
It was still tiny.

This size… it’s unmistakable. I’m a baby.

Apparently, I died and was reborn as a baby.

Looking around, the room was lavishly decorated, so I could tell I’d been born into a wealthy household.
I started to feel a little depressed, wondering if I’d been reborn sickly again—

“Master, the young lady is safe,” said what sounded like a butler.

“Thank goodness…” the boy whispered, his voice trembling, eyes glistening with tears.

“Please take care,” said another voice—different this time, more professional.
“Excitement or a rapid heartbeat could be life-threatening. Avoid startling her or raising her pulse.”

Judging by what he said, that man must be a doctor.

“Thank you, doctor,” said the boy.
“You’re a kind brother,” the doctor replied warmly.

So… the beautiful boy is my brother?

But… something about him feels familiar.

As he quietly stepped closer to me, my heart started pounding.

No—no, that’s bad.

I can’t let my heart race like this!

If it does, I’ll faint again!

But before I could calm myself—

“Lord Serios truly adores Lady Leticia,” said the butler fondly.

My thoughts stopped cold.

…Wait. What?

Did he just say… Serios?

The only person I know with that name is Serios Rosenberg, my number one favorite character—my oshi!

No way… that can’t be, right? He’s supposed to be grown, not this young!

My account name was “The Make-Serios-Happy Society.”

In the novel Gran Avere, Serios-sama appears as the hero Abel’s best friend.
He’s skilled in both swordsmanship and magic—
and in the early parts of the story, he even outshines the hero.

He lost his little sister to an illness called Mana Overflow, and because Abel suffered from the same condition, Serios treated him like a younger brother, guiding and advising him whenever he struggled.

That dependable “big brother” role made Serios one of the most popular characters in Gran Avere—even more so than the hero himself.

His signature lack of expression came from witnessing his beloved sister die right in front of him.

And now… it seems I’ve been reincarnated as that very sister—
Leticia, the one who died young.

“If things go like the original story… I’ll die from Mana Overflow, and the shock of losing me will turn Serios-sama into the emotionless person he becomes later…?”

That’s unacceptable.

As president of the Make-Serios-Happy Society, it is my duty to make sure Serios-sama finds happiness!

The illness called Mana Overflow happens when the body contains too much magical energy and can’t handle it.
If your heart races or you get too excited, your magic surges dangerously.

Normally, once the body matures, it can withstand the increase, but in the novel, Leticia never lived that long.

And now, my oshi, Serios-sama, is my older brother.

But Mana Overflow is an illness where excitement is forbidden.
