Chapter 10
In the corner of the store, in front of a piano bathed in soft light, a man was pressing the keys.
A gentle yet sweet melody filled the space, occasionally interrupted by an unexpected note.
Though his face was hidden beneath a deep hat and mask, the glimpses of his fair, clean skin and the unique aura around him immediately gave away that he belonged to “this world.”
“Who is that? Do you know him?”
Yoon Tae-jin asked, tilting his head in curiosity.
“Seriously?”
Luha looked up at Yoon Tae-jin and clicked his tongue in disdain.
“You can’t even recognize my kid?”
“?”
Tae-jin furrowed his brows and studied the man closely once more.
“…Oh!?”
Finally, he realized the man’s identity and let out a short exclamation.
The youngest, Ha Jin-woo.
Thud—
Luha’s small elbow tapped Tae-jin’s leg.
“Why?”
Tae-jin glanced at Luha. Ask him what he’s doing.
Luha replied with a cold glare instead.
“Ah-hem.”
Tae-jin cleared his throat and approached, and Ha Jin-woo, startled by the sound of the keys, spun around.
“Uh, uh…”
His eyes widened above the mask.
But realizing he couldn’t hide anymore, he hurried over, bowing deeply in greeting.
“C-Chief… ah, hello!”
“What are you doing here?”
“Ah, well…”
Scratching his head, Ha Jin-woo glanced around the store, seemingly looking for a suitable excuse.
“You’re pretty good.”
Luha interjected with a chic voice, arms crossed.
“Luha, you came too?”
Ha Jin-woo awkwardly smiled, glancing at Tae-jin, and lightly waved at Luha.
“Done with practice?”
Yoon Tae-jin, precise with inputs and outputs, carried out Luha’s command immediately.
“Yes? Ah, yes!”
“Did you get permission from Team Leader?”
They were referring to Lee Jung-min from the management team.
“Yes! I told him everything.”
“Alright, then.”
Tae-jin nodded as if he understood.
“Hmm…”
Luha shook his head in dissatisfaction.
“So, why are you here—”
“Ah, I was just… looking around.”
Ha Jin-woo replied quietly, his face flushing.
“Was that you playing earlier?”
“Uh? Ah, yes… uh, yes.”
Once again, he glanced at Tae-jin and nodded cautiously.
Tae-jin’s interest piqued.
“Oh, Jin-woo has this skill? Since when have you been playing piano?”
“Uh… a little since I was young.”
“Really? That piece earlier—what was it? I’ve never heard it before.”
“Uh? That….”
Ha Jin-woo lowered his head, hesitating.
“What is it?”
Luha pressed him.
“I… I composed it…”
His ears turned red.
“Hmm.”
Luha’s face lit up.
“Really? You composed that?”
“Uh, yes…”
“Hoo~ unexpected.”
The left corner of Luha’s mouth curved up.
Yoon Tae-jin’s car arrived in front of the dorm.
Thud—
“Thank you, Chief!”
Ha Jin-woo quickly got out and bowed deeply.
“You must be tired these days. Order something delicious for dinner tonight.”
Tae-jin handed him a card through the open window.
“Oh, no. Chief, I can manage that…”
Ha Jin-woo quickly searched his pockets. But all he had were a transport card and a few crumpled bills.
“Hey.”
Luha tapped Ha Jin-woo’s arm with the back scratcher on his back.
“Just take it.”
Luha said it lazily, and Tae-jin smiled, shaking the card lightly.
“Th-thank you.”
Ha Jin-woo smiled awkwardly, returned the card to his pocket, bowed again, and accepted Tae-jin’s card.
“Luha, you should say thanks too~”
Ha Jin-woo gently nudged Luha’s back.
“Huh?”
Luha glared at him, but Ha Jin-woo, more afraid of Tae-jin than Luha, pushed harder.
“Luha!”
“Ah-hem. Yeah, you should say thanks too.”
Tae-jin said with a satisfied grin.
“What—?”
Luha’s eyebrows twitched.
“Hurry and greet Uncle properly!”
Tae-jin warned with a glance. He’s watching; do it properly if you don’t want trouble.
“Huff… th-thank you, Uncle—”
Luha reluctantly gave a small bow.
“Aww~ good job.”
Tae-jin smiled in satisfaction. Meanwhile, Luha’s eyebrows drew a little “八” shape.
Tae-jin’s gaze quickly shifted to Ha Jin-woo.
“Y-yeah, thanks for your hard work!”
“Yes, thank you. Please go in!”
After the final greetings, Tae-jin’s car drove off.
The sun had already set, and one by one, lights turned on in the LUMIS dorm.
Ding-ding—
The sound of the dorm door opening echoed.
“I’m home.”
Ha Jin-woo’s voice brightened the dorm.
“Oh~ the youngest is back? Is our little one here too?”
Kang Ian, who would have been the youngest if not for Ha Jin-woo, welcomed them in a clumsy dialect.
“Why are you speaking like that?”
Ryu Si-an, carrying a pile of laundry across the living room, frowned slightly.
“I’m hungry. I want dinner~ You go to the kitchen.”
Kang Ian said playfully. He had a quirky habit of mimicking dialects and behavior based on what movies or dramas he had recently watched. Today, it seemed he had seen a few clips from the movie Friend and was already immersed in the dialect.
Squeak—
The bathroom door opened, and steam drifted out.
“Jin-woo’s here?”
Through the rising steam, Baek Do-ha appeared.
He was shirtless, shaking his wet hair with a towel. Each movement revealed rippling muscles, perfectly toned under the soft light.
“Ho-oh~”
Luha, who had silently approached, circled Baek Do-ha, eyes gleaming with interest.
“Lu-Luha?”
Baek Do-ha froze, bewildered.
“Ah, well. Stay still a bit.”
Luha tapped lightly here and there with the back scratcher, admiring his body.
It wasn’t just lean muscles; the balanced lines and compact, toned form suggested real training.
“You work out?”
Luha glanced up at Baek Do-ha.
“Me? Nah.”
“Then why does your body look like this?”
“Why… like this? Well, the fans liked it…”
He subtly averted his gaze, scratching the back of his neck.
“Answer me!”
Luha demanded.
“S-sorry! I used to dance a bit.”
“Even before becoming an idol?”
“Yes…”
Baek Do-ha awkwardly smiled and answered earnestly.
“Ho-oh? I see.”
Luha’s eyes sparkled. Today, he had already discovered two intriguing people: Baek Do-ha and Ha Jin-woo.
Sigh…
As Luha turned, Baek Do-ha unconsciously exhaled. That little kid… just standing in front of Luha made him feel infinitely small.
“No… n-no…”
“What? You want a blindfold?”
“Sh-shut up…”
“Shut up? Should I lower my voice?”
“Qu-quiet… noooo…”
Luha’s head nodded continuously in all directions, battling extreme drowsiness.
It was barely 9 PM, yet sleepiness hit him like a storm.
‘Half… the harp fairy will appear soon…’
If he could hold on just a little longer, the new character of Piano Fairy Doremi Season 5—the harp fairy—would appear.
But Luha’s eyelids collapsed despite his will.
Kids are said to sleep a lot, but this…
Morning, meals, watching YouTube—he felt sleepy at all times. After 8 PM, it was a sleep bomb.
“Hehe, so cute.”
The members watching him couldn’t help but smile.
Usually a little tyrant wielding the back scratcher and teasing his older brothers, in this sleepy moment, he was undeniably a cute five-year-old.
“…They say kids are the cutest when they sleep.”
A very quiet voice came from the corner.
“…?”
All the members turned.
It was Cha Eun-gyeol, the cold, emotionless robot and LUMIS’s official “cold handsome guy.”
“Ho-oh~ you think Luha is cute too?”
Kang Ian asked in surprise.
The others also looked surprised.
It was natural—they had expected Baek Do-ha and others to care for Luha, but Cha Eun-gyeol usually paid no attention to anyone, including himself. Luha was no exception.
The first time he met Luha, he just said, “…small.”
He never cared much afterward.
What got into him today?
“!”
It was Cha Eun-gyeol who was actually flustered.
“I, I…”
Unconsciously, he muttered “cute,” then averted his gaze and left the spot.
“See? I knew he’d react like that.”
Ryu Si-an chuckled.
All eyes turned to Luha, who had already fallen asleep on Baek Do-ha’s lap.
“Snore-snore—”
The gentle sound of breathing was so cute that everyone smiled naturally.
Baek Do-ha checked the time on his phone.
“Shall we sleep too? We have to get up early for practice tomorrow.”
“Yeah~ let’s head to dreamland~”
One by one, the members got up.
After everyone entered their rooms, Baek Do-ha carefully picked up Luha, holding the fragile little body gently and walking slowly.
“Harp… the harp is coming soon…”
Luha’s tiny lips murmured, looking for the harp fairy.
Baek Do-ha smiled quietly and whispered softly:
“Lucky one, thank you so much for coming to us.”
At that moment, as if responding, Luha’s lips curled slightly in a smile
