Chapter 9 â Both of Them Are So Good-Looking!
Itâs already been a week since I came to this place.
The dorm mothersâ work is divided according to what each person is best at.
When something canât be finished alone, everyone helps each otherâand the knights also clean their own rooms and wash their own undergarments.
Working together like this is actually really fun, and I find it rewarding.
My duties are preparing meals and hanging the laundry.
Elga-san also helps with cooking, and during breakfast and dinner, when the amount of food is huge, other senior dorm mothers join in too.
But as for hanging the laundryâthatâs my job alone.
While Iâm serving or cleaning up breakfast, the laundry team washes the clothes, and I just have to hang them out to dry afterward. So itâs not hard to do by myself.
Actually, washing the clothes seems like the harder part, so I sometimes feel guilty for not helpingâbut apparently, since the work is divided by skill, itâs fine this way.

âSibel.â
âAh, Leo-san.â
That day, while I was hanging up a mountain of laundry in the courtyard, Leo-san called out to me.
Beside him was Vice-Captain Mirko-san.
Both Leo-san and Mirko-san are only twenty-five years old, yet they hold the positions of captain and vice-captain of the First Knight Order.
And since this is the most elite unit in the kingdom, that means theyâre truly exceptional men.
âYouâre doing great. Thatâs quite a lot of laundry,â Leo-san said with a gentle laugh.
âThank you very muchââ
âWait.
Whatâs going on here!?
Is this⊠some kind of bonus scene from heaven!?
Both of them are a full head taller than me.
Unlike the frail Prince Marx, these two have properly trained knightly bodiesâstrong, firm, and powerful, with muscles that are obvious even through their uniforms!
Leo-san isnât overly bulkyâhis build is just right. Absolutely perfect!
Mirko-san, on the other hand, is probably the most muscular knight in the entire orderâbroad and solid like a rock.
And both of them are incredibly handsome!
To have two such stunning knights suddenly appear in front of meâwhat kind of divine blessing is this!?
Their uniforms fit them perfectly, shining in the sunlightâthey almost seemed to sparkle before my eyes.
âUhâŠâ
âSibel? Are you okay?â
âYes! Itâs just⊠um, a little too much stimulation all at onceâŠâ
âEh?â
âAh, nothing! Donât mind me.â
I quickly covered my mouth with my hand to hide my grin and turned away so they wouldnât see my red face.
No, Sibel! Pull yourself together! Youâre working right now!
Taking a deep breath, I straightened my back and faced them again.
âWhat brings you two here?â
âOh, we were out on a short mission,â Leo-san said. âWhen we returned, we saw you working so hard on the laundry, so we thought weâd stop by.â
âOh my!â
They came just to see me?
This must be todayâs reward! Thank you, God!
âLet us give you a hand,â Leo-san said.
âEh!?â
My heart nearly jumped out of my chest at those words.
Before I could even protest, Leo-san was already reaching for the laundry.
âPlease, you must be tired from work! You should rest inside!â
âIâm not tired. Itâs fine.â
âBut stillââ
To my amazement, Leo-san was actually very good at hanging laundry.
Then Mirko-san joined in too.
Ah⊠but since theyâre both tall, they could easily hang towels on the highest poles that I always struggle to reach.
And somehow, just watching them do that looked⊠picturesque.
Two tall, handsome knights, dressed neatly in their uniforms, swords at their hipsâ
hanging laundry together in the courtyard!
And not just any knightsâthe captain and vice-captain!
What kind of heavenly scene is this!?
Even the large shirts and towels that felt big in my hands looked small when held by their strong, broad hands.
I could honestly watch this forever.
But no, Sibel! Stop that!
Focus on your work!
âThank you so much, youâve been a huge help! But really, I can take care of the rest!â
âItâs faster if we do it together,â Leo-san said. âRight, Mirko?â
âYeah, donât worry about it,â Mirko replied casually.
ââŠâ
Ugh⊠theyâre both so kind!
Fine, then! I wonât be outdone!
Motivated by their help, I picked up the pace even more, matching their rhythm and hanging as many clothes as I couldâwhile silently thanking them for handling the higher spots.
***
âThank you again! You really helped me today!â
âNo, we should be thanking you,â Leo-san said. âSeeing how much laundry you handle alone every day makes me feel guilty.â
âNot at all! Itâs nothing!â
Of course, what I wanted to say was, âIt makes me happy just to hang the shirts and towels that you knights have used!â
But I kept that thought to myself. I knew how weird that would sound.
âŠEven though they were all freshly washed and clean, of course.
âIâm glad to hear that,â Leo-san said. âYouâve been working very hard, havenât you?â
âI still have a long way to go.â
I knew full well that the knights had much harder jobs than I did, and that compared to my seniors, I still had a lot to learn.
âYouâre very humble, Sibel,â Leo said with a smile.
âNo, I just mean it.â
That wasnât false modestyâit was sincere.
âIf you ever have any trouble, just tell me right away,â Leo said gently.
âYes! Thank you very much!â
He nodded. âGood.â
His kindness and attentiveness warmed my heart.
ââŠHmm.â
âHuh?â
I thought that would be the end of the conversation, but Leo-san didnât leave.
He stood there, still looking at me, as if he wanted to say something else.
What is it, I wonder?
ââŠLeo, letâs go,â Mirko said.
âAh, right. Of course. Sibel, see you later.â
âYes!â
Finally, urged by Mirko, Leo started walking away.
But I couldnât help wonderingâdid he actually have something he wanted to say to me?
Next time: Leoâs point of view!
