Synopsis
โI will make Kasielope Clemens my empress.โ
The new emperor of the Clemens Empire, Regis Euriel.
The woman he chose as his empress was none other than Kasielope Clemens, the former empress he had personally dethroned.
โYou know, Regis, being with you makes even the battlefield not so bad.โ
โIf you say so, Lope, then I feel the same.โ
โThenโฆ will you become my empress, Regis? Letโs get married.โ
She couldnโt believe it.
The words she had once said playfully โ her constant confession โ had returned to her as a cruel blade.
โIโm offering myself to you willingly, yet you refuse? I donโt see the reason, Your Majesty.
So, pleaseโฆ take me in.โ
Kasielope looked up at Regis with eyes void of warmth โ no resentment, no anger โ only the cold expression of someone performing what she believed was her duty.
โLetโs begin the selection of concubines.
As everyone knows, because of the many wars Iโve fought, my body isnโt in perfect condition โ I may have difficulty conceiving.โ
Regis shook his head in denial, but Kasielope didnโt care.
Instead, she smiled faintly, almost satisfied, as she met his gaze.
โWhy do you make that face, Your Majesty? I only did what an empress ought to do. Thereโs no need for such an expression.โ
This is the price for stealing my throne, Regis.
Regis Euriel โ that man must suffer. He must be miserable.
When you take everything from someone, you must be prepared to lose everything yourself.
She would take everything from him โ because she knew too well that his โeverythingโ was her.
And so, Kasielope Clemens vowed โ she would take herself away from him.
